UPDATE (7.1.10) - Hawkeye completed 1720 miles last summer, the first leg of his two-summer fundraising hike!
He just started the second leg of this hike this past Monday, June 26, from Medford, Oregon and is currently
on the trail heading up through Oregon towards Washington... we will post updates as frequently as we get them.

Hawkeye has been involved with TASP for 9 years as a blind guide, a ski & snowboard instructor, and staff trainer. The inspiration he receives, working with people with disabilities to overcome challanges, helps sustain him on many journeys.
On October 15, 2007 Triple Crown long distance hiker Hawkeye Johnson completed a 3,000 mile thru-hike of the Continental Divide Trail from Mexico to Canada and raised over $17,000.00 for TASP.
His current backpacking journey and fundraiser hike is to complete the senic 2,700 mile, Mexico to Canada, Pacific Crest Trail, in 2 sections and achieve the Triple Crown for a second time. In April 2009, he began in Mexico and will continue to hike 1,700 miles of trail through California. In 2010, he will hike the remaining 950 miles in Oregon and Washington to Canada.
