Canoeing, Kayaking & Rafting Trips


RaftingFlatwater Canoe/Kayak Trips
line

Join TASP at one of the most gorgeous high altitude lakes in the San Juans! You can spend the day casually paddling around in either a canoe or a kayak... or see how many laps you can make around the lake! Consider combining this trip with some fishing or a picnic lunch?

Half Day: $65/person ($50/person for groups of 4+)

 

 

San Miguel Half-Day Adventures

Experience the scenic and winding San Miguel River while you enjoy a float through this pristine habitat with family and friends.

Times: AM trips 8:00am-12:30pm / PM trips 1:00pm-5:00pm
Trip Availability: late May to late June
Rafting


Species to Beaver Creek: 7.5 miles of Class II & III water
Cost: $85/person (ages 6 and older)

Alternatively, enjoy a trip on inflatable kayaks, also affectionately known as "duckies," on Telluride Valley Floor. These are a great alternative to rafting and the perfect way to experience the exhilaration of piloting your own craft down the river. Our inflatable kayak trips are designed for individuals of all abilities that are not looking to learn a new sport but rather spend more time going down the river. These trips are suitable for families with young children and adventure seekers looking for a serious adrenaline rush. Inflatable kayaks also offer a great transition for those who wish to continue into hardshell kayaks. Rental gear included.

3.5-hr trip down Telluride's Valley Floor
Cost: $125/adult (age 13+), $100 for children (12 and under)

 


San Miguel Full-Day Adventures

If you have the time, a full day float may be perfect for you to get out for a relaxed day trip that leaves plenty of time to take in the beauty of the canyon and river. Lunch included.

Times: 8:00am-5:00pm
Trip Availability: late May to late June

Hanging Flume Full Day Adventure: a mild section of the San Miguel River
Cost: $150/person

Norwood Canyon Full Day Adventure: a lively adventure on the San Miguel River

Rafting with TASPUncompahgre River

Come enjoy the scenic Uncompahgre River. The majestic San Juan Mountains fill the back drop for the entire run! Float through prime wildlife habitat for an up-close look at songbirds, deer, and birds of prey!

“Short n’ Sweet” 2 hour Trip: Raft the Uncompahgre River from the town of Ridgway to the Ridgway Reservoir on this 2 hour guided raft trip (class II and III rapids)
Trip Availability:
thru the end of June

Cost: $55/person (+$5/person round trip transportation fee to Ridgway)
Departure from Ridgway: 9:00am, 12:00am or 3:00pm

½ Day Uncompahgre Trip: Experience this untamed section of continuous rapids (class II and III) on the Uncompahgre River! This 9 mile stretch is the perfect choice for those looking for a fun paddle boat run.

Cost: $77/adult, $55/child (6-12 yrs old) (+$5/person round trip transportation fee to Ridgway)
Departure/Arrival to/from Rigdway: AM trips 9:00am-12:30pm / PM trips 1:00pm-4:30pm

 

Gunnison River

Rafting

¾ Day Gunnison River Kayak Trip (Inflatable Kayak): Enjoy the Gunnison River from Pleasure Park on down. Command your own inflatable kayak or join a TASP volunteer on a tandem kayak. No previous experienc necessary.

Cost: $144/person (+$5/person round trip transportation fee to Ridgway)

Departure/Arrival to/from Ridgway: AM trips 8:00am - mid-afternoon
