Special Olympics is an international organization with National and State chapters. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports events for children and adults with cognitive disabilities. TASP provides regularly scheduled ski and snowboard training opportunities for our athletes who participate in Special Olympic Colorado Events.
Winter 2011-12 training dates will be every Saturday, beginning on Jan 14th and ending after the State Competition.
Regional Competition: Ski Cooper, Feb 24, 2012

State Competition: Copper Mountain, Mar 4, 2012
Cost is $25/practice for athletes with their own season passes and $70/practice for athletes without their own pass.

During the summer, TASP offers Special Olympics training and competitions in Bocce Ball. Practices are offered once a week in Telluride (Saturday evening) and Montrose (Monday evening) for $10/practice. This year's Regional Special Olympics Summer Classics in Bocce Ball will be held in Grand Junction in July.
