Hawkeye has been involved with TASP for 9 years as a blind guide, a ski & snowboard instructor, and staff trainer. The inspiration he receives, working with people with disabilities to overcome challanges, helps sustain him on many journeys.

On October 15, 2007 Triple Crown long distance hiker Hawkeye Johnson completed a 3,000 mile thru-hike of the Continental Divide Trail from Mexico to Canada and raised over $17,000.00 for TASP.

His current backpacking journey and fundraiser hike is to complete the senic 2,700 mile, Mexico to Canada,  Pacific Crest Trail, in 2 sections and achieve the Triple Crown for a second time.  In April 2009, he began in Mexico and will continue to hike 1,700 miles of trail through California. In 2010, he will hike the remaining 950 miles in Oregon and Washington to Canada.  You can support Hawkeye's efforts and TASP by pledging per mile or making a flat donation.

For more information or to check out his progress on his current hike, visit Hawkeye's webpage dedicated to these efforts at http://www.gohawkeye.com/
