Volunteer photoOver 100 volunteers contribute their time by being on the snow, helping out during the summer, in the office, or helping plan and facilitate special events and fundraisers. Volunteers are the heart, soul, and backbone of our organization and the key to success with the participants we serve — for that TASP is grateful as without volunteers our program would not exist!!

SO, HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?!!?

The season is already in full swing, but we are always welcoming new volunteers!!

If you are interested in volunteering for this ski season (11/12)...please call the office at 970.728.2443 or email volcoord@tellurideadaptivesports.org. As all or our scheduled training has passed for the season, we will talk to each new individual to cater a training schedule to fit your needs. This often includes meeting with an office staff as well as shadowing some lessons on the hill.

If you are looking at volunteering for the next ski season (12/13), please know that in general new volunteer instructors will be required to complete 3 full days of training (1/2 day indoor Office Orientation, 1/2 day indoor Disability Awareness, 1 on-snow day of Adaptive Alpine (or Snowboard) Intro, followed by 1 other full day (or two half day) clinics of your choosing). Returning volunteer instructors will be required to complete at least 1 day of on-snow training.

Although we ask that all volunteers commit to a minimum of 6 lessons this season, there is no max to the number of hours that you can volunteer!

If you are interested in learning more about upcoming volunteer opportunities (summer or winter!), please call the office at 970.728.2443 or email volcoord@tellurideadaptivesports.org. Thank you all and we hope to see you soon!

We are looking forward to a GREAT season and volunteers are a HUGE part of what makes TASP possible!! Thank you...
