Volunteers are the heart, soul, and backbone of our organization; they are the key to success with the participants that we serve.  Over 150 volunteers generously contribute their time to TASP in many forms, whether that be sharing their passion for snow sports, engaging in summer adventures with participants, facilitating special events and fundraisers, or lending a hand in the office.  We are extremely grateful for our dedicated volunteer base; without it, our program would not exist.

SO, HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?

We are (almost) always accepting new volunteers!

We are excited for your interest in joining the TASP community through volunteering.

If you are interested in learning more about upcoming volunteer opportunities (summer or winter!), please call the office at 970.728.2443 or email m.miller@tellurideadaptivesports.org. Thank you all and we hope to see you soon!

Winter Volunteers

TASP is excitedly looking forward to the 2021-22 Winter Season!  Information for new volunteers regarding minimum qualifications, volunteer application, training registration and other general information will be posted later this fall. Please check back then for more information.

For more information or to get on the volunteer instructor interest list, please call 970.728.2443 or email m.miller@tellurideadaptivesports.org.

Stay in touch and follow us on our Facebook page to see some of the ways we are impacting the lives of others.  Your support makes TASP the incredible program that it is!

Summer Volunteers

Information about volunteering next summer will be poste early spring.  We hope to offer a number of sport specific trainings at the end of May and the first part of June on how to best assist our participants in activities such as flatwater canoeing/kayaking, rock climbing, and biking as well as First Aid and CPR certification classes. Trainings will be posted in calendar form at the bottom of the Current Instructor page and you may register for them on our Training Portal. Other opportunities that will be available include hiking, horseback riding, fishing, jeeping, rafting, inclusion lessons, overnight campouts, and more! We encourage all of our instructors to be First Aid and CPR certified and require this certification of all summer Lead Instructors.

Although we anticipate new volunteers will be accepted for the next summer season, please understand that we are still a bit uncertain as to how this summer will look so there may not be a lot of volunteer opportunities.  We are, however, hoping for the best and want to get as many newly trained volunteers out as possible. In the meantime, please use the contact info below if you are interested in joining the 2022 New Summer Volunteers List to receive updates on TASP volunteer opportunities and finding other ways to get involved to support the mission.

For more information, please contact M’Lin at m.miller@tellurideadaptivesports.org or 970-728-2443. Thank you!
